The 2014 FICB General Assembly held on 25 January at the Musée du Vin of Paris

The 2014 FICB General Assembly was held at the Musée du Vin of Paris on 25 January. The President, Claude Josse, presented a positive report for the year 2013, marked by the modernization of the statutes and rules of procedure and the development of the website. The First Vice President, Alan Bryden, presented the progress made in implementing the Action Plan adopted in 2012 and detailed the priorities for 2014-2016, which were approved.

2014 is the year of the 50th anniversary of the Federation and the FICB International Congress, to be held in the Champagne region from 29 May to 2 June, will be the highlight of the celebration. Registrations have met with great success and were closed at mid November.

M. Pat Pingitore, Vice President of FICB for the USA, conveyed the invitation of his country to host the 2016 FICB International Congress in California. The General Assembly warmly accepted the invitation.

The composition of the Board of Administration was reviewed to take into account the payments of membership fees. It will hold an exceptional meeting in Reims on 29 May to adjust the composition of the Executive Committee in order to take into account the wish of a few members to step back.
