The Commanderie des Costes du Rhone celebrates its 45th anniversary

On 30 June 2018, the Commanderie des Costes du Rhône closed the festivities for its 45th anniversary in the somptuous setting of the Château of Suze-la-Rousse, amid the vineyards of this appellation. From Vienne to the North to Avigon to the South, 44000 Ha of vines produce the wines of this renown regional appellation.

This wine brotherhood has developed an extensive international network of « Baronnies » to support the promotion of the wines of its region, from New-York to Shangai, Liège (Leuven in Belgium), Montreux (CH), Seoul or Quebec. Many commanders and consuls of these Baronnies were present for the celebration.

The 467th Chapter, presided over by Patrick Galant, the Grand Master, closed the programm of the 45th anniversary celebration over 4 days with the 6th World gathering of the Baronnies.

Among those enthronized at this Chapter were Gentle Lady Weiwei Jong, descendant of the last Emperor of China, Géraldine Gosso, director of the Wine University ( based in the Château), Philippe Court, Prefect of Ardèche, Alexandre Pinna, owner of a famous restaurant in Marseille, Alan Bryden, president of F.I.C.B. and many others.

F.I.C.B. was represented by its president and its vice-president for the South of France, Paul Coulon, a neighbour from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and their spouses.
