News from « Wine in Moderation »

Our partner WIM has recently presented its recent achievements, at a reception held in Brussels on January 21st attended by the president of FICB Marc Lesk.

WIM’s mission is to be « the social responsibility program of the wine sector, providing wine professionals with the information and tools to responsibly present wine, and inspiring consumers to fully enjoy wine and its culture in a healthy, positive, and convivial way. »

A partnership (MOU) between the FICB and WIM was signed by the president Alan Bryden and the treasurer Noélie Genevey in June 2016. The text is available here

Terroirs, tastings, and responsible consumption at FICB tournament

The Fédération Internationale des Confréries Bachiques (FICB) will host the inaugural Tournoi FICB de la Bouteille de l’Année during its Annual General Assembly at the Musée du Vin de Paris. The competition, focused this year on dry white wines, will feature blind, head-to-head tastings judged by an international jury led by Professor Marin Berovic.

FICB, a longstanding partner of Wine in Moderation, has integrated the responsible drinking message into this event, demonstrating its strong commitment to promoting moderation and sustainable enjoyment of wine. Information on the partnership between WiM and FICB is available on the FICB website

We thank WIM and send them our greetings from the FICB in return.

FICB, whose motto is “sharing the reason and the love for wine“, will continue to refer to the programme Wine in Moderation.
