The country\u2019s wineries gained worldwide fame. The past and the present intertwined in our legend, inspiring the future of our victories.<\/p>\n<p>The relief of Moldova is fragmented, predominantly with low hills, plateaus and sunny plains crossed by numerous rivers flowing into the two Prut and Dniester rivers which flow into the Black Sea.<\/p>\n<p>Climate is continental, sometimes with maritime influences.<\/p>\n<p>Located between the 46-47 \u00b0 latitude, like other well-known wine regions in Europe, vineyards have a terroir suitable for the production of quality wine, red in the South and white predominantly in the center of the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Republic of Moldova has 112 000 hectares of vineyards, planted with over 50 technical varietals. The wine-growing area is divided into 4 historical wine regions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Valul lui Traian (Southwest)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Stefan Voda (Southeast)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Codru (Center)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>B\u0103l\u0163i (North)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The first three regions are intended for the production of wines with a protected geographical indication.<\/p>\n<p>Vine varietals: Varietals from Western European, Caucasian and local origin:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div> 70% planted with white varieties (Rkatsiteli, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Aligote, etc.), predominantly in the Codru area.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>30% red varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Saperavi, etc.) specific to the southern regions.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The authenticity and uniqueness of the winez from Moldaova come from the local varietals, which represent 10% of the surfaces, including Feteasca Alb\u0103,
