The Compagnons du Bordeaux brotherhood, one of the oldest in the Gironde, was founded on 16 August <\/span>1966 by winemakers. Its members are, of course, winemakers (from all the Gironde appellations), but also those who help promote the Gironde terroir, with its wealth of appellations. As a result, discerning gourmets and wine enthusiasts have joined the ranks of the brotherhood. <\/p>

The annual chapter meeting is held on the second Sunday in September each year at a different location.This location is chosen for its history with the brotherhood or for the prestige of the site. Over the years, the Compagnons du Bordeaux have traveled from the Saint-\u00c9milion region to the Sauternes region or to the <\/span>Northern Gironde. The date is chosen based on the grape harvest season, which begins at that time. <\/p>

The grape harvest festival is thus launched that day.<\/p>
